According to the Washington Post (Dec. 25, 2016), President (then) Elect Donald Trump inherited estimated 103 judicial vacancies in the federal court system.  Today, uscourts.gov say the total vacancies are 151 with 84 pending  the 115th Congress.

Individuals interested in a particular vacancy should contact their local RRB field office at (877)772-5772 for more information.  An RRB representative will verify if the job is still open and refer the applicant to the appropriate hiring official.

President Trump signed an executive order on July 20, 2018 creating the National Council for the American Worker, steering a strong emphasis on beefing up training and education for American workers.  Private companies including Walmart, Home Depot, General Motors and Microsoft are among the companies and associations that signed a pledge, committing to create job opportunities over the next five (5) years.  Walmart committs to training 1 million people.

Under President Trump, the United States added 24, 000 Jobs in April , leading to an increase to 304,000 since December 2016.  In Decenber, 2016, the last month before then President Elect Trump was inaugurated, there were 12,351,000 manufacturing jobs in the US. In April, there were 12,655,000.  The last time there were more than 12,655,000 manufacturing jobs in the US was December 2008, when there were 12,850,000.  That was the month before President Barack Obama was inaugurated.  In January, 2009, the month Obama entered office , manufacturing Jobs declined to 12,561,000-a one- month decline of 289,000.  For more information: www.nam.org

President Trump made coal jobs a core of his presidential campaign.  A review of the data from the Mine Safety and Health Administration shows 1,001 more US coal jobs last year compared with 2016.  The biggest jump was in West Virginia, where MSHA’s annual average found 1,429 more coal jobs in 2017.  No doubt, “Trump has ended the war on coal”, created by OBAMA.

Coal mining jobs in West Virginia rose by 11 percent in 2017.  Other states that saw a sizable increase: Alabama (494), Virginia (243) and

Pennsylvania (124).  Seven (7) other states saw a reasonable amount of new coal jobs.
